A little paper pot ready for planting.

We recycled old Scholastic book order forms and we made them into little plant pots. We used a wooden pot maker. You have a 9cm wide strip of newsprint. You cut it down lengthwise then you roll it around the potmaker, and squish in the bottom of the paper. Then use the bottom of the potmaker to squish it down hard enough for it to keep its shape. Use dirt to fill the pots and now you are ready...

The grade 4/5 class has purchased reusable bowls, plates, and utensils to be used for the hot lunch program instead of using styrofoam bowls and plastic spoons.
